Google Sketchup

Here's a different view of the simple 3d model of the Huntington Avenue Grounds that was created for this new ballpark poster project. It was created in Google Sketchup. It's nice because you can set the time of day and year and the shadows adjust accordingly. The model was created on top of an old Sanborn fire insurance map.

Congratulations on starting this site, Jeff.

When I saw the title of your invitational email, I was tempted to zap it, because I'm overloaded with blogs and listservs, but I'm glad I decided to check it out.

The two huge strengths of this site are that it has heavy graphic content, and that you are a dedicated researcher and talented artist.

As far as I know, this is only the second non-commercial ballparks website having substantial visual content. The other is Andrew Clem's, and I will tip him off about this place ASAP.
